School Council Evening-SAFE TALK TRAINING-MAY 3 5:30pm-8:30pmhttp://nps.scdsb.on.ca/about-us/news/school-news/34School Council Evening-SAFE TALK TRAINING-MAY 3 5:30pm-8:30pm
SafeTALK is a workshop where participants learn four basic steps that begin the process of getting someone who is having thoughts of suicide help. Participants learn how to link the person with thoughts of suicide to a trained helper who knows how to complete the helping process. At Nottawasaga Pines Secondary School we value the importance of being partners with our community in creating suicide safety through education and supporting open conversations about mental health.

The safeTALK training is safe, effective, and designed for individuals aged 15 years and older. A Simcoe County District School Board social worker, who is a registered trainer with LivingWorks Education, facilitates the training. LivingWorks is a well-known developer of suicide prevention programs preparing individuals and communities to make a difference.

May 3, 2022 05:30 PM to 08:30 PM

SIGN UP NOW!

https://forms.gle/7xtepLtXsWyG7hPu6/
